Cavalier Black II Torpedo

The Cavalier cigars suprised me so much, that I have to review another line of them.
This time I take the Black II Torpedo and try it out...
The first thing you notice is the awesome soft box pressed torpedo vitola witch feels very nice in the hand.
The wrapper is rough to the touch, even for Mexican San Andrés, though the gold feels nice and smooth.
The cold draw is surprisingly sweet with honey, dark chocolate and raisins...It smells really outstanding good.
It is time to cut and light the cigar...
It starts with a layer of woodiness noted by cedar and oak, and there is also a smooth pepper spiciness but really mild. Perfect draw and after the first paff's the burning is excellent.
Into the first third I feel walnuts, toastiness, some cinnamon, earthiness and redwoods. Intresting taste combination but I have to say if you look at the cigars you expect exactly these flavors.(You get tons of smoke in this part)
In the second third i have more or less the same tasting profile, but the cigars feel more voluminous (medium plus)
If I smoke a cigar mostly my favorite part is the last third and it is the same again. Not just because you see burn the 24K gold diamond, but alsto the taste is more intense, and you get more and more spices. In this case more cinnamon as pepper spiciness.
This cigar convinced me from start to finish, and one thing is safe.... I will always have some of these cigars in my humidor
